Thoughts on Education:

Above all else, I am most excited to expose my students to numerous musical opportunities. Opportunities to explore, succeed, fail, and learn. These are crucial steps to reaching higher levels of excellence. Through musical instruction I offer students an opportunity to feel comfortable in exploring musical challenges and being okay with the outcome, whether it be positive or negative. Each learning experience is part of the building blocks to becoming a mature, educated performer. The skills obtained through music education can and will be carried on to other facets of life. These skills will help students become more educated decision makers.

It is my duty as a teacher to nurture in students responsibility, respect, patience, and hard work. Then implementing how these areas will help them reach their potential in both musical and real-life endeavors.
